Why use our free image compressor

Smart quality

Balanced, high-quality and smallest presets, or set your own level, to keep images sharp while cutting file size.

Big savings

Photos often shrink by 60–80% or more. Results depend on the image, so each file shows its exact saving.

Easy to use

Drop your images in and compression starts at once. Change a setting and every file updates by itself.

Image formats

Compress JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 50 images at a time. Keep each format or switch to JPG or WebP.

Private by design

Images are compressed inside your browser and never uploaded. Location and camera data are stripped from the output.

Free

No account, watermark or software to install. Compress as many images as you like.

Frequently asked questions

How much smaller will my images get?

It depends on the image. Photos usually shrink the most, often by more than half. Graphics and screenshots saved as PNG shrink less unless you lower the quality setting. If a file cannot be made smaller, the original is kept.

Does compression reduce quality?

JPG and WebP compression is lossy, but the Balanced preset aims for no obvious difference. For PNG, high quality settings are lossless, while lower ones reduce the number of colours.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens inside your browser. Camera and location metadata is also removed from the compressed copies.

What are the limits?

You can add up to 50 images at a time, each up to 50 MB. Supported inputs are JPG, PNG and WebP.
