Create many barcodes at once
Tick "Generate one barcode per row" and put one value on each line, or use "Create Sequence" to produce numbered lists with a prefix, suffix, start number and step. Your download is a ZIP file containing one image for every barcode, ready for labels and stock lists.
Tips for barcodes that scan well
- Use dark bars on a light background with strong contrast.
- Keep the empty margins (quiet zones) on both sides of the code.
- Print at a reasonable size and never stretch the image in one direction.
- Use SVG for large prints and labels because it stays sharp at any size.
- Always scan a printed test sample before printing a full batch.
Barcode generator FAQ
Is the barcode generator free to use?
Yes. The tool is free, needs no sign-up and has no watermark. You can download PNG, JPG and SVG files for personal and commercial use.
Which barcode type should I use for retail products?
Use EAN-13 for products sold worldwide, UPC-A for the USA and Canada, and EAN-8 or UPC-E for very small packages. For cartons and cases, ITF-14 or GS1-128 are the usual choices. If you only need a general-purpose barcode for inventory or shipping, Code 128 is a safe choice.
Is the data I type uploaded anywhere?
No. Every barcode is drawn in your own browser, so the data you enter is never sent to a server.
How do I create many barcodes at once?
Tick "Generate one barcode per row" and enter one value per line, or click "Create Sequence" to build a numbered list with a prefix, suffix and step. Download then gives you a ZIP file with one image per barcode.
How do I make sure my barcodes scan reliably?
Print dark bars on a light background, keep the white margins (quiet zones) around the code, do not stretch or shrink it unevenly, and test a printed sample with the scanner you will use. EAN, UPC and GS1 codes for retail use must be assigned through GS1; this tool only draws the barcode for the number you provide.
